Social Media Specialist

Mission & Agency Overview

The mission of SAFE is to provide our clients and their families with counseling and support in dealing with addiction and to educate all members of our community on the dangers of addiction and it’s prevention.

The SAFE Foundation is an OASAS licensed, Outpatient Drug, Alcohol and Gambling treatment center located in Brooklyn, NY. Since its inception, SAFE has offered clinical outpatient treatment, education, and prevention services to the adults and youth of the surrounding community and beyond. SAFE’s holistic approach has a strong focus on both the client and their family.

Job Description:

The Social Media Strategist will work closely with the Director of Marketing to develop a strategy to help strengthen Safe’s social media presence and improve our messaging, as well as help to better integrate Safe’s several social media profiles. Content research, newsletters, video creation and educational event planning support are among the responsibilities of this role.

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

Work closely with the Director of Marketing to support, develop and execute dynamic marketing campaigns across multiple platformsCreate social media content for Instagram, and help establish Safe’s social media presence on other platforms (i.e., TikTok, etc.) Optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social contentResearch content related to addiction, parenting and eating disorders that is in line with Safe’s message. Create a regular publishing and content calendar to manage content and plan specific, timely marketing campaigns. Utilize Instagram Lives, TikTok, videos, newsletters and other tools to garner interest and better promote Safe events and educational messagesContinuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the informationManage stakeholder email lists. Collaborate with other departments to understand Safe’s mission, stay abreast of events and understand seasonal trends related to the community we serve.Help organize, execute and publicizing educational events and guest speaker programs
