We operate State-licensed outpatient drug, alcohol and gambling treatment programs in Brooklyn, New York and Eatontown, New Jersey alongside preventive services and educational programming.     Job Description:

    As a member of the clinical team, Primary Therapists will work under the supervision of the Clinical Director to deliver addiction treatment services to clients ranging from adolescents to adults in both individual, group and family contexts.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Facilitate individual, group, and family counseling sessions for individuals seeking recovery from addictive disorders and their family members

    • Complete comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments for incoming clients

    • Develop individualized treatment plans and assess client progress

    • Attend all appropriate meetings/supervision sessions and participate in case conferences with the multidisciplinary clinical team

    • Maintain records in compliance with regulations, with special attention to completeness, accuracy, and issues relating to confidentiality

    • Perform other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Degree/Certification- must meet one of the following criteria:

    • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling preferred

    • Certified CASAC and/or NY State License in Social Work or Mental Health Counseling (or limited permit) required

    • Credentialing in Gambling Disorder Treatment a plus (CPGC, CASAC-G, or QPGP), or eligibility a plus.

    In addition, candidates should offer the following skills, experience and personal qualities:

    • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience providing counseling in an addiction treatment and behavioral health

    • Experience running psychoeducation and process groups a plus

    • Familiarity with Motivational Interviewing, Behavioral therapies, Person-Centered treatment, and Evidence-Based Practices for the treatment of addictions

    • Familiarity with recovery principles such as 12 Step or SMART Recovery 

    COMPENSATION

    • $30- $40 per hour.

    • 5 Days’ Sick Time.

    • Workers’ Compensation.

    Position Overview:

    SAFE is seeking a creative, organized Marketing Coordinator to join our team on a part-time basis (approximately 20–25 hours per week). This role is ideal for someone early in their marketing career seeking hands-on experience across design, content creation, and digital outreach, with the possibility of expanding into a full-time position as organizational needs increase.

    This junior-to-mid level role will provide mentorship, skills growth, and opportunities to lead meaningful campaigns that support SAFE’s mission.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Support development and execution of marketing campaigns across digital and print platforms

    • Write and edit compelling content including articles, blog posts, newsletters/eblasts, and social media copy

    • Design brand-aligned graphics and visual assets for a variety of materials

    • Manage and regularly update the organization’s Instagram channels and other digital platforms

    • Maintain a content calendar that supports strategic, timely campaigns

    • Assist with website updates and ensure digital content adheres to brand guidelines

    • Coordinate marketing efforts for special events (fundraising, educational, community)

    • Monitor trends and support continuous improvement of communication strategies

    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure messaging supports organizational goals

    DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Graphic Design, or related field preferred

    • Graphic design skills with strong understanding of composition, typography, and layout

    • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop)

    • Demonstrated ability to write and produce articles, blog posts, and marketing newsletters/eblasts

    • Experience in digital/content marketing, preferably in nonprofit or mission-driven settings

    • Familiarity with Squarespace, MS Office; video creation/editing experience is a plus

    • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects

    • Polished written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

    • Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for learning and growth

    • Passion for community service and staying current with digital marketing trends
